Once, I’ve gone through a phase where I had a Snickers everyday for 3 weeks. And a phase which much to Mak’s irritation, despite whatever she cooked I had my nasi with ghee and fried fish.
Then, I had a Crunchie everyday for few weeks. It was great but just a word warning, the honeycombs can actually numb your tongue.
Now! I'm in ghee balls phase. Expensive stuff. 4 ghee balls (or was it 5?) for RM2.50 at Lebuh Ampang. I think they mixed in extra milk and not enough ghee. Doesn't taste that good but who's complaining anyway? I'm not, as long as I get my fix. To be honest it tasted like serdak kuih batang buruk with a bit of ghee. But still heavenly.
Last year's Deepavali, my manager brought some to the office and I think those have a good amount of ghee but too many spices in it. Merely stating a fact but still not complaining!
Anyone knows where to get a wicked superdelicious ghee balls? Wonder if people serve it for Chinese New Year? Hhmmm...
